LexLogik was built for the highest security expectations. While others rely on US infrastructure, we process your data solely on dedicated hardware in German data centres. By consistently avoiding US providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), we reduce third-country access risks - for instruction-bound processing that fully meets the requirements of § 43e BRAO and the GDPR.

  • Encryption from the first click
    Transfer uses TLS 1.3 - decryption happens exclusively in volatile memory, never on disk.
  • No permanent storage
    Once processing finishes or your session ends, all content is deleted automatically and irreversibly from our servers.
  • German infrastructure - with transparent exceptions
    We process your data on dedicated hardware in German data centres. Auxiliary services with a US connection are limited to what is technically necessary and named in our documentation - so you know what you are working with.

US infrastructure was never an option for us. We built LexLogik from the start on our own hardware in Germany - because client matter data allows no compromises.

Common questions about data protection.

Why is data processed on LexLogik servers at all?

High-quality text recognition and AI-assisted image processing need compute that a local browser cannot provide reliably. Processing therefore runs in our protected infrastructure in Germany - on dedicated hardware of our own, without US hyperscalers.

What exactly happens to my files?

Your uploads are transferred encrypted with TLS 1.3. On our server, contents are decrypted only for the duration of processing - exclusively in RAM, never on disk. After that, all contents are deleted automatically. We do not store permanent copies of your original files.

Why can interim copies exist on the server for a while?

So you do not have to start over after a connection drop, we temporarily buffer processing results. These data are deleted once the purpose is fulfilled or the defined retention period expires. The periods are documented in our technical materials.

Can LexLogik staff read my files?

No - and that is secured technically, not merely promised. Your data are never written to disk unencrypted. Processing takes place exclusively in volatile memory - after that, nothing remains that anyone could read. Administrative access is limited to what is technically necessary and reserved exclusively for the two founders. There is no staff hierarchy with access to live processing.

Why invest so much in backend safeguards?

Law firms work with data where loss or misuse can carry legal and professional consequences. Technical barriers - no persistent storage, RAM-only processing, minimal access rights - are not marketing promises but structural decisions we built into the product from day one.

Additional hardening and clear access boundaries take engineering - for us that is an integral part of the product. We rely on technical barriers rather than promises alone. A single measure is not a silver bullet, which is why we commit to a transparently documented overall concept.
